When Should I Create a JIRA Ticket?

When Should I Create a JIRA Ticket?

✅ You should create a JIRA ticket when:

  • Something on your website isn’t working
For example, a button doesn’t click, a form isn’t sending messages, or a page won’t load.

  • You want to request a change
Like updating a photo, changing some text, adding a new section, or changing colors on your site.

  • You noticed a mistake
If you see a spelling error, outdated price, wrong email, or any other issue — send a ticket.

  • You need help and don’t know where to click
Don’t worry — even if it’s something small, it’s okay to ask.

You don’t need to create a ticket if:

  • You’re just browsing or checking your site

  • You’re still thinking about what to change and not ready yet

  • You already sent a message about the same issue (no need to send twice)

📝 Tip:

When you create a ticket, try to include as much information as you can. If possible, include:

  • What you want to fix or change

  • Which page it’s on

  • A screenshot (if that helps)

That way, your issue gets handled faster and more accurately.
